I thought the last time’s the last time
You said I’d ever see you again
And you said what you said like you meant it
But here we are on this rooftop
You come up talking like we’re still friends
And I can’t say I don’t think about you
All the good and the bad, and the in between
Won’t say what I want, though I want to
Just know if you ever asked me
I’m doing better without you
I’m doing better without you
I’m doing better without you
I’m doing better without you
I told my new boy about you
And we couldn’t help but laugh about it
and maybe right there is the difference
Cause I know if you were in his shoes
Yeah you wouldn’t even smile, yeah I doubt it
Oh I doubt it, I doubt it, I doubt it
And the truth is I still think about you
All the good and the bad, and the in between
Won’t say what I want, though I want to
Just know if you ever asked me
I’m doing better without you
I’m doing better without you
I’m doing better without you
I’m doing better without you
Won’t say
Say what I want to
Just know, know
I’m doing better without you
I’m doing better without you
Won’t say
Say what I want to
Just know, know
I’m doing better without you
I’m doing better without you
And the truth is I don’t think about you
Not the good or the bad, or the in between
Won’t say what I want, though I want to
Just know if you ever asked me

“This song really lives two lives– I started writing the song a few months after breaking up with my ex. It was a challenging time learning to be by myself again, but in a moment of clarity I realized I wasn't just okay, I was actually doing better without her. It inspired me to write an anthem celebrating the independence from someone you once thought you couldn't live without. But, as time passed, the song evolved, it began to symbolize a broader liberation—from badl habits, negative thoughts, and all the things that used to drag me down. "Without You" is more than a personal narrative; it's a universal declaration for anyone burdened by their own struggles. It's a defiant proclamation: “I’m doing better without you!” This song is an empowering reminder that sometimes, what we leave behind is what lets us move forward.“ - HARIZ

Hailing from sunny Los Angeles, HARIZ, born Justin Sam Hariz, is a captivating singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. With his indie-alt-pop sound, his music is imbued with the laid-back energy of the West Coast. Growing up in The Valley alongside his twin brother and younger sister, HARIZ's lifelong passion for music has fueled his artistic journey.
Access to music education has been an underlying cornerstone of HARIZ’s life. At the age of four, his teachers noticed his natural aptitude and encouraged his parents to enroll him in classical piano lessons. Further nurturing his gift, he continued formal training through the esteemed Music Teachers Association of California program. Eager to expand his sonic repertoire, HARIZ taught himself the drums and guitar before pursuing songwriting studies at Cal Arts.
Having built a solid foundation, HARIZ redirected his focus toward harnessing the power of music as a profound means of self-expression. His unwavering dedication to his craft led him to participate in an ASCAP songwriting camp, where his original composition, "OVRBRD," triumphed, securing first place with the ASCAP Harold Adamson Lyric Award in Pop Music. Rather than selling the song to a major label, HARIZ made the bold decision to release it on his own. This breakthrough propelled him to embark on national tours alongside acclaimed artists such as JVKE, Jake Miller, Charlotte Sands, Andi Mitchell, and Fly By Midnight.
HARIZ’s music draws inspiration from an eclectic mix of influences spanning generations. Echoes of Harry Styles, Rihanna, Maroon 5, Nirvana, Lionel Richie, The Eagles, The Bee Gees, and The Beatles can be heard, and that’s by design. HARIZ says his sound comes from “listening to a lot of different music from all different decades and then pulling little bits of inspiration here and there and mixing them with my take on it.”
Currently in the midst of an exciting phase, HARIZ is actively writing and releasing a series of singles, all leading up to his highly anticipated album slated for 2024. Eager to connect with a growing fanbase, HARIZ cherishes the opportunity to meet new individuals, share meaningful experiences, and delve deeper into the intricacies of the human experience.
Stay tuned as HARIZ continues to make waves in the music scene, intertwining heartfelt lyrics, infectious melodies, and his unwavering dedication to creating an immersive
musical journey.
